The problem with having a disparity of cordless power tools batteries is also having to deal with a disparity of chargers. That can quickly become an annoyance when you have to constantly lug around all the chargers from one jobsite to another.

That where Bosch's latest GAX 18 V-30 charger, with its ability to charge the 12V (technically, it's a 10.8V with a marketing twist), 14.4V as well as the 18V batteries, comes in.

With the 80% Full HMI mode, the GAX 18 V-30 delivers a 3.0A charging current to quickly charge up either the Bosch 10.8V/12V, 14.4V and 18V lithium batteries to 80% charge, then slowly tops it up to 100%. An 18V 4.0Ah battery takes just slightly over an hour to reach 80% and another 20 minutes to be fully-charged while a 2.0Ah takes half the time. It even comes with a single 5V 2.1A USB port for you to charge your smartphone, powerbank or other accessories.

While the GAX V-30 is a great multi-voltage all-in-one charger, the one thing to note is that THE GAX 18 V-30 DOES NOT CHARGE a 12V, 14.4V or 18V SIMULTANEOUSLY. Meaning, if you insert a 12V battery and an 18V battery, it'll only fully charge one battery before moving to another.
